Hi there!

The following list includes the top 10 places (in no specific order) to go in Manhattan, New York from a locals point of view. Sure any tourist can go to on a water taxi ride to the Statue of Liberty or pay way too much for a Central Park horse and carriage ride and dinner at The Boat House. This list includes the hole in the wall places you would have passed on your way to Time Square to gawk at all the sparkly lights and have over priced drinks at..let me guess.. The Hard Rock. There's nothing wrong with any of the places I mentioned but do yourself a favor a read my list. Having lived in Manhattan for almost 20 years I'm sure I can recommend a few good places. You can thank me later!

The Magnolia Bakery
The Magnolia Bakery is located in the famous West Village in Manhattan and is located on the corner or Bleeker Street and West 11th street. Sound familiar? This small bakery has had many cameos in movies and books over the years and for good reason.  On any given day you'll see customers waiting in a line around the corner just waiting to satisfy their sweet tooth. As you can see in the pictures, the weather isn't holding these dedicated customers back from their neighborhood bakery.  As a result of this branch's fast growing popularity, Magnolia has opened 3 more branches including one in Grand Central Station for the convenience of travelers from all over the country and another in Dubai for international fans.  Magnolia is famous for their cupcakes as well as their banana pudding and friendly staff.  If you have any kind of sweet tooth The Magnolia Bakery is must stop in New York.
